Looking to enjoy the Vermilion River in Pontiac, IL, but not up to a full float trip? Fear not – Vermilion River Adventures has you covered! We still offer hourly rentals for our Kayaks, Canoes, and Pedal Boat. Rates and our booking site are listed below. With all rentals from Vermilion River Adventures, we will provide all the necessary equipment, launch the boat, provide you with operator and safety training, and arrange a meet-up. We do all the hard work, allowing you to maximize your time on the water. Get out there and enjoy nature! Navigate under the swinging bridges and around Chautauqua Park for an enjoyable experience.

All hourly rentals will launch from the Pontiac Play Park on the near south side of Pontiac, Illinois. The park offers a boat ramp from which all vessels can be launched with ease. From here, guests can journey southeast around Chautauqua Park and out of town towards the countryside. Return to the launch point when you’re done (which is conveniently downstream of wherever you decide to turn around, allowing you to float with the current if you’ve gotten too tired!) and we will help you unload and be on your way.

All vessels offer fantastic opportunities for experiencing nature up close and personal. These human-powered watercraft offer a fantastic viewpoint for birdwatching or other nature-based activities, including fishing. Please bring your own fishing gear, tackle, and fishing license if you want to fish.
